During the second annual Lent Event, the Noyes Family Foundation gave back to their community each Friday during the weeks before Easter. In remembrance of the 40 days of Lent, the Noyes Family Foundation gave 40 items to those in need each week. Here are weekly events:
First Week: The Noyes Family Foundation gave 40 jars of spaghetti sauce to Calvary Food Bank. The Calvary Food Bank feeds hundreds of needy families each week.
Second Week: During the second week, the Foundation provided 40 boxes of pasta and 40 tubes of toothpaste to Harriet’s Food Pantry. Harriet’s provides for at least 50 families per week through the Clearwater Community Church.
Third Week: The Noyes Family Foundation distributed 40 body powders and 40 deodorant sticks to the homeless through St. Vincent de Paul. We met at the food bank to pass them out to those in need.
Fourth Week: The Noyes Family Foundation did not let the COVID-19 virus stop us. On the fourth week, the Foundation provided 40 new pairs of socks to Pinellas Hope. Pinellas Hope provides housing and daily needs to the homeless in our community.
Fifth Week: The Noyes Family Foundation donated 40 boxes of breakfast cereal to our parish’s Siena House. Sister Rosamunda does so much for the community so we are happy to help in this small way.
Sixth Week: For the sixth week, the Noyes Family Foundation dropped off 40 bottles of Gatorade to Dunedin Cares in remembrance of the 40 days of Lent. Dunedin Cares does so much for the community — especially now.
Seventh Week: For the final week of Lent, the Noyes Family Foundation Lent Event returned to the needs of our parish – St. Catherine of Siena. Thanks to family efforts, McDonalds donated 40 gift cards for a sandwich. We proudly gave them to the church to distribute at the Siena House.
